Privacy policy — Easy Modbus PC

Summary

Easy Modbus PC has no account, no analytics, and no advertising. The app sends nothing to the developer or to any server. Everything it does happens on your own computer and on the local network you connect it to. A license, if you buy one, is checked on your own machine without contacting anyone.

What the app stores, and where

Easy Modbus PC saves the following on your computer, and nowhere else, under %APPDATA%\EasyModbusPC:

The devices you add — address, port, unit ID and name.
The register maps you build — addresses, data types, scaling, units and notes.
The custom remotes (control panels) you create.
The emulator units you configure, and their register values.
Your settings, and your license key if you enter one.

This file never leaves your computer unless you copy it yourself.

What leaves your computer

Only the network traffic you ask for, all of it on your own network:

Modbus requests to the equipment you point the Explorer at.
A network scan, when you use “Find devices” — the app connects to port 502 on the addresses of your local subnet to see what answers. It is a scan of your own network and nothing is transmitted off it.
Inbound connections you host — when you run the built-in device emulator, the app opens a listening socket on the port you choose so other software on your network can connect to it. It answers with the register values you configured and makes no outbound connection of its own.

None of this reaches the developer. Easy Modbus PC has no server.

Licensing

Custom Remotes are free for one control panel; a one-time license unlocks unlimited remotes. The license key is verified entirely on your own computer — the app does not contact a license server, and no information about you or your machine is sent when you enter a key.

What the app does not do

No account, sign-in, or registration.
No analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting.
No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
No access to your files beyond its own settings folder, and no access to location, camera, or microphone.
No internet use beyond the local-network Modbus traffic described above.

Your choices

To erase everything the app has stored, delete the %APPDATA%\EasyModbusPC folder or uninstall the app. Nothing is kept anywhere else, so there is nothing to request from us and nothing for us to delete.

Children

Easy Modbus PC is a tool for building and industrial equipment and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the “last updated” date above changes with it.
